Nick Wright targets LA Lakers star duo LeBron James and Anthony Davis
LA Lakers were expected to show some exceptional games this NBA season, but the team did not live up to expectations. The main reason for the bad situation of the LA-based franchise was considered, player injuries and covid safety regulations at the start of the season. But it seems Nick Wright doesn’t agree with these claims as he believes that even with LeBron and Anthony Davis were healthy, it won’t have changed the result for the Lakers.
In the recent episode of the First Take First, Nick wright expressed his viewpoints on the Lakers. He said, “The naysayers were correct. The naysayers, much to LeBron’s chagrin, did keep the same energy all year. The Lakers were never going to have enough defense & shooting. Even if LeBron & AD were healthy all year, they didn’t have the pieces needed to win a title.”
This NBA season, LeBron James has missed 22 games and teammate Davis has not played 39 games due to regular injury problems and when the two attacking pillars missed most games it is clear to the Lakers that they are having a difficult season. But Nick Wright explained that LeBron James and AD were not enough for LA as they missed out on a piece for the championship victory episode where he also pointed out mistakes in Frank Vogel’s training.

Can the LA Lakers still make it to the Play-in Tournament?
Well, no matter how bad the Lakers’ season has been so far, the big question for every Lakers fan is, can the LA-based franchisee still make a place in the play-in tournament. There is a chance for the Lakers but in that, they have to win their remaining four games anyhow.
Meanwhile, if we look at their schedule, their games have been matched-up with the Phoenix Suns, Golden State Warriors, Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Denver Nuggets. Except for the Thunders all the other teams have already qualified or will qualify for the playoffs so the upcoming games are tough for LeBron and Co but if they want to make their season-long they have to bring a consistent victory.
On the other hand, Spurs are the biggest rivals with the Lakers for 10th place in the west but if they lose their three games out of four remaining games the road will be clear for LA Lakers.
