“Everyone from New Orleans stay the hell outta of my mentions tonight” Kendrick Perkins’ perfect response to Pelicans completing season sweep over Lakers
Kendrick Perkins on Los Angeles Lakers
The New Orleans Pelicans might have registered their biggest win of the 2021-22 season, when they inched past Los Angeles Lakers 114-111 on Friday. Having sent the purple and gold army of LeBron James, a step-closer to the exit door, Pelicans are just one-more win away from seizing a play-in tournament berth. Being even more special, when this has come without the contributions of Zion Williamson.
However, as the Lakers failed to close out a key contest, Kendrick Perkins was one of the many Lakers supporters, who wanted to no time on social media and the banters. Safe to say, Perkins can be taking one for the entire team, given his evident support for LeBron James.
What was opinionated by Kendrick Perkins after Pelicans vs Lakers?
The former NBA star and current ESPN analyst was more than happy to commend the Pelicans on their success. However, he did not seem to want to continue the conversation.
“Everyone from New Orleans stay the hell outta my mentions,” Kendrick Perkins said. New Orleans Pelicans fans didn’t listen, and replies flooded Perkins’ notifications to remind him of his take on the Los Angeles Lakers. Ahead of the 2021-2022 NBA season, the ESPN analyst discussed the dynamic between LeBron James, Russell Westbrook, and Anthony Davis.
“I don’t want to hear about ‘Can it work?‘” Perkins said. “I don’t want to hear that; it’s going to work. It instantly makes them the favorites to come out of the Western Conference.”

The Lakers were deemed as one of the clear favorites to make a deep and meaningful playoff run in the 2021-22 NBA Season. How ironic it is to witness, the same team, with the same players, struggling so majorly to rank among the top 10 teams in the Western Conference.
That being said, the only thing which can secure Los Angeles Lakers’ place in the play-in tournament, is by them resurrecting to their best. Via which they could beat the likes of Denver Nuggets, Golden State Warriors and Phoenix Suns in the remaining four out of the 5 contests they have remaining in the regular season.
