“F**ked around and found out” – NBA fans MERCILESSLY ROAST Jimmy Butler for losing to Hawks after guaranteeing win
Jimmy Butler took a massive L after promising his fans a guaranteed win against the Atlanta Hawks who walked over the Heat with a 11-point win.
Jimmy Butler and Trae Young
Jimmy Butler will not be known for fulfilling promises. At least not the promises made to his fans. Butler and the Miami Heat went against Trey Young-led Atlanta Hawks in a battle for the seventh seed in the Eastern Conference. Miami was outclassed on homecourt, losing 116-105, and will now be forced to play a one-off game to keep their season alive.
Things did not as planned for Butler. Before the game, the Heat star went on record to guarantee a Heat win and also said that he’d give everything he has in his effort to beat the Hawks. He said, “I’m gonna do whatever it takes for my team to win.” He added, “I couldn’t care less what anybody writes, if I’m a good basketball player or a bad basketball player.” Butler then said, “I take on tomorrow’s matchup, and we get that dub.” He added, “We’ll worry about what goes on down the line…I’m gonna be a decent basketball player at the end of the day.”
Butler finished the game with 6-for-19 from the field for 21 points. The Hawks led the entire game and earned the seventh seed and confined the Heat to a do-or-die game against the Toronto Raptors or the Chicago Bulls.
Butler’s confidence in a Heat win certainly did not translate on the court. And fans on social media did not forget.
