The Boston Celtics’ side and their head coach, Joe Mazzulla, are in the 2024 NBA Finals after they clean swept the Indiana Pacers in the ECF Playoff Finals. However, Mazzulla has an uphill task in the Finals as he and his side face the in-form Dallas Mavericks. Interestingly, to everyone’s surprise, legendary soccer coach, Pep Guardiola was spotted with Mazzulla on the court, seemingly sharing some coaching tips before the NBA 2024 Finals.
Guardiola, who is currently the manager of the English soccer club Manchester City FC, is one of the best coaches in soccer right now. Joe Mazzulla has also been very vocal about the admiration and respect he holds for Guardiola, labeling him as “the best coach in the world, in any sport.” Ahead of Game 1 on June 6, Mazzulla and Guardiola were seen conversing at the TD Garden.
After Guardiola and Mazzulla’s meet-up went viral on the internet, the NBA community could not hold back as they took to social media platform X to share their views. One fan wrote on X, “Penguin in Arizona” while another wrote, “Polar bear.”

On the sports side, Mazzulla will be hoping to snap up the NBA title with the Celtics after 16 long years. Meanwhile, Guardiola’s Man City reached the FA Cup Finals this 2023-24 season but ended up on the losing side as they were defeated by Manchester United FC at the Wembley Stadium.

However, this was not the first time Mazzulla and Guardiola met each other, Mazzulla had visited the Manchester City Soccer club back in February 2024. Not only that, Mazzulla had also opened up on Guardiola and their two different sports.

Pep Guardiola is one of the most well-known soccer managers, having managed numerous great teams, including Manchester City, Barcelona, and Bayern Munich.
On the sports side, he has won six Premier League titles (four in a row), four UEFA Super Cups, and three UEFA Champions League cups other than the titles he won in Spain and Germany during his coaching career there. Both Mazzulla and Guardiola are dominating their respective sports, and the Celtics HC needs a Championship crown to cap it off.
