It is tough to fathom the pain one must go through following a heartbreak. J.R Smith and his family were struck with a dagger to the heart after Jewel, Smith’s wife had accused the retired NBA veteran of being unfaithful.
JR had allegedly had an affair with Candice Patton who is an Actress for the hit television series The Flash. The former NBA player has had an undesirable reputation for years now but it still does not prove that he is a bad person.

Jewel took to YouTube posting a nine-minute video of her explaining what was going on between Smith and herself as well as saying how she found out of the affair. She further went on to express how she felt about it by shooting a prayer in tears asking God to guide JR in the right direction.
The basketball legend has opted to remain silent about the situation and kept it extremely subtle by simply liking and commenting on pictures and other posts of Jewel’s. According to his wife, fans and her followers had kept tabs on JR’s whereabouts and informed her about it. JR was seen liking multiple uploads on Patton’s social media profiles.
It is believed that he may have lived with Candice Patton at some point in time as a video that surfaced on the internet showed JR Smith walking Patton’s dog in a neighborhood. It seems that JR Smith has not had a great December either after fans messaged him out of concern of his health, JR’s replies always said, “Its one of the hardest christmas’s I’ve had but we still pushing, I take everything day by day! Can’t rush your own progress,” and when he was asked if he was okay, he said, “Not true but I’m working on it.”
First steps to reconciliation taken by the couple
The couple has been married since 2016 and have had kids together which included a hard premature birth of their last Dakota. The child was born at 21 weeks and weighed just under a pound. They have three other daughters who go by the names Denver, Demi, and Peyton.
Jewel Harris recently uploaded pictures of the family with JR obviously missing from the frame. The Cleveland Cavaliers veteran was seen commenting on her posts and liking the pictures being posted. The two were last seen together late 2019 just two months prior to separation. Perhaps these are the first steps taken by the couple to get back together or to arrange a co-parenting situation.
