“Get well ASAP bro!”- LeBron James reacts to Trail Blazers CJ McCollum’s Injury

Portland Trail Blazers CJ McCollum suffered from Pneumothorax last Saturday in the game against the Boston Celtics. Things just took a tough turn for the 30-year-old. During the 4th quarter against the Celtics, he sustained a rib injury which was after said to be a lung contusion. This ruled out his chances of appearing against the LA Clippers on Monday to be questionable.
On Tuesday the team released a statement that said that as per the CT Scan results CJ McCollum suffered from a collapsed right lung or medically called Pneumothorax. This condition can be really serious if needed tended immediately as the tension between the chest and the lung increases restriction the air passage. The good thing is that this condition if once healed doesn’t have any long-term effect on the person.

LeBron is himself not entirely out of the abdominal injury that he acquired in the early stages this season. So, understanding the pain and the things that a player goes through he decided to showcase some love for his fellow player. After all, they play the same sport and share the same passion and respect for Basketball.
CJ McCollum was elected as the President of the National Basketball Players Association in August this year replacing Phoenix Suns’ Chris Paul. His presence on the court helps the Trail Blazers. He has been averaging 20.6 points, 4.1 rebounds, and 4.5 assists this season for the Blazers.
Due to his injury, CJ McCollum may miss the upcoming matches for at least a week. Things will get strenuous for the Trail Blazers as they will be facing some of the best teams of this NBA in the upcoming days starting with their last night’s match the Golden State Warriors. They will face off against the Minnesota Timberwolves on Sunday and the Phoenix Suns on Tuesday.
For the LA Lakers, things are just rounding like a gyre. When they show improvement in one match then in the very next they scatter like pearls on marble. They will face the Memphis Grizzlies on Thursday. Hope they keep the form that they showed against the Boston Celtics in their previous match.
