LeBron James and the Lakers Co are now officially out of postseason games after they lost the must-win game to qualify for the play-in tournament on Tuesday night.

The 2022 NBA season started with high expectations for the Lakers but ended up with the agony of failing to even enter the playoffs. There was still hope for the Los Angeles-based franchisee if they would have won their remaining four games, but it looks like they have completely given up hope this season and their impact has been evident in the games against the Phoenix Suns where the Lakers were without LeBron James and got edged out by 121-110.

Despite Russell Westbrooks’ 28 points and Anthony Davis’ 21 points effort, the Lakers were not able to pull the game, and although they have three-game remaining in their schedule they are eliminated from the championship. With the Lakers losing, it made the way clear for the San Antonio Spurs who are now in the 10th seed of the western conference and have qualified for the play-in tournament.

LeBron James has completed his four-year tenure with the Los Angeles Lakers and it was the second time that the LA with King didn’t qualify for the playoffs. Although he has won his fourth NBA ring with the Lakers during the 2020 season, thereafter a long dip is seen in the Lakers’ performance in the last two seasons.

This was the second season in the row that the Phoenix Suns have blocked the Lakers’ hope to make a deep playoff run just like last year when the Suns eliminated the James & Co, in the first round. But it seems that LBJ has no hard feelings for them as he congratulated Phoenix Suns star guard Chris Paul after the game ended, probably with some good wishes for their upcoming playoff games.

The Phoenix Suns are leading the whole NBA with their record of 63-16 this season, and there is no doubt that they are aiming to get their championship trophy back which they lost against the Milwaukee Bucks during the last year’s NBA final.
