Andrew Wiggins Gets Covid-19 Vaccine
To those who are unaware, Wiggins has hesitant is getting the covid-19 vaccine earlier after thinking about being unable to feature in the home games for the Warriors due to San Francisco vaccination drive. Assuming Wiggins received the one-dose Johnson & Johnson vaccine, he should be good to go for their home opener against the LA Clippers on October 21. Had he remained resistant to the shot, he would’ve lost his salary for each home game missed according to multiple reports.
Andre Wiggins was a big part of the Warriors roster last season. Now with Klay Thompson all set to return, Wiggins will have a fixed and more specified role for the team, wherein he could excel by sticking to his own strengths. There is no denying that if the Golden State Warriors are contending for the NBA 2021-22 Season title, Andre Wiggins will feature as the team’s starting small forward.
Having said that, with Kyrie Irving also being one of the marquee players who have clearly shown signs of not getting vaccinated ahead of the start of the 2021-22 season, things could get pretty nasty for these individuals. However, it is pleasing to see Wiggins finally agreeing upon the necessary precautions which are a must-to-take during these tough times.
