LeBron James has had a historic season so far proving night in and out that he is still a force to reckon with. For being considered as one of the greatest of all time, LeBron has figured out the key to being at the top of his game. As the season continuous, he is on his way to becoming the only player with 10,000+ points, assists, and rebounds. But he is also inching his way up the top of the all-time scoring list just a few hundred points shy of the second spot.

As successful as LeBron has been on the court this season, his individual game only boosts his personal legacy. As a collective group, the Los Angeles Lakers have not had much success coming into this year and many still believe Bron has a good chunk of blame to take for it. The player has been criticized for influencing trades and acquisition based on individual success which may not necessarily benefit a team.

In a game many fans thought the Lakers would lose, LeBron James came to their rescue having an exceptional performance against the Golden State Warriors. The Lakers shot 49.4% from the field which included 18 threes of 41 attempts (43.9%) and 18 free throw makes from 21 attempts. They also had the upper hand on defense recording 10 steals and 6 blocks during the game.

The King took the opportunity to shut down his haters who have really dug at him this past week due to certain avoidable circumstances that took place during the New Orleans Pelicans game. He ended the game with 56 points, 10 rebounds, and 3 assists shooting 19-31. He became one of the oldest players to have scored more than 50 points in a game. He now averages 29.4 points, 8.1 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game.

San Antonio Spurs Head Coach Gregg Popovich praises LeBron James for longevity

Ahead of the San Antonio Spurs vs Los Angeles Lakers game, legendary coach Gregg Popovich had some words of appreciation said towards LeBron James. He said, “It’s a big responsibility for guys who have to bring it. LeBron has brought it night after night. People think it’s easy because he’s a good player.” He further explained why LeBron is playing well by saying, “He wasn’t as confident in his jump shot in previous years. Because he is intelligent he understood that his game had to be expanded. He understands the game so well. He knows where there might be a weak point and he takes care of it.”

He highlighted the time when he coached during the 80s that Michael Jordan would “show off” and that LeBron also has that attitude of being great. Pop also appreciated firmness towards the negativity outside of his personal game. LeBron has always been headstrong and game-focused throughout his career. However, the King did not participate in the Spurs game which the Lakers lost 110-117. According to sources from ESPN, he was ruled out right before tipoff due to a Knee Injury. Head Coach Frank Vogel mentioned that the injury was sustained during the 56 point game.
