“Great Game. Mr. October”: LeBron James salutes Clippers’ Reggie Jackson after knocking game-winner in Battle of LA

LeBron James and Reggie Jackson
Reggie Jackson leading the Los Angeles Clippers to victory against the Los Angeles Lakers has gained LeBron James respect. There are not many players in and around the league whose potential is tweeted by the King LeBron James himself and Reggie Jackson has just gained the ultimate respect. LeBron James is currently sidelined due to a knee injury so he wasn’t a part of the match-up against the Clippers at Crypto.com Arena but enjoyed every moment of the battle.
The matchup was closely contested and head to head where the Clippers managed to maintain a short lead over the Lakers for three quarters. But the Lakers stepping up in the fourth quarter almost made a comeback as they were able to hold down the offensive rally of the Clippers. Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook individually gave away better performances but the team fell short once again as the chemistry issues continue.

Anthony Davis with twelve seconds remaining got the one-point lead by a dunk as Russell Westbrook threw a lob to him. But Reggie Jackson upsetting the defensive end of the Lakers won the game in style as he spinning towards the rim won the game with a right hand up and down lay-up. Still, Anthony Davis had a shot to win it all for the team but he missed it and as a result, the final box score stands at 110-111.
Reggie Jackson has really been living up to the expectations everyone had around him as he has erupted himself into a star in absence of Kawhi Leonard and Paul George. In the match-up, Reggie had 25 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists, 1 steal and 1 block while playing some awesome defense and signing the deal to win the game for the Clippers. LeBron James being very real and honest showed out the utmost respect he can to the veteran guard with superstar-like skills.

LeBron James on Reggie Jackson

Just as the games ended and Reggie Jackson added one more loss to the Lakers’ record. LeBron James praising and appreciating the efforts of Reggie tweeted out his respect where he quoted: “Great Game!! Mr. October with a big time shot to end it. Salute.” Reggie Jackson is finally getting the correct recognition as it’s not just the fans appreciating him but also LeBron who is one of the greatest ever to play basketball.
In the tweet, LeBron James used the term “Mr.October” for Reggie which is actually the nickname of the MLB legend Reggie Jackson who played 21 seasons in the baseball league. LeBron applauded the efforts and so did the fans around the league as being shorthanded without the starters and stars of the team. Reggie Jackson still led the Clippers to victory over a comparatively stronger Los Angeles Lakers team who ever expected to win easily against the other L.A team.
