Kevin Durant and Mike Conley had a moment that was witnessed by the entire world, making the crowd go “oof”, and feel the pain that the player must’ve felt. Ever felt such level of empathy that you felt the pain someone else must’ve felt and went through it simultaneously? That is exactly what happened in the Brooklyn Nets’ home arena as Conley broke Durant’s ankles, which ended up in the latter having a big fall, and then calling a time out as he couldn’t bear the pain of what just happened to him. This for sure must’ve been one of the most embarrassing things that ever happened to Durant in the entirety of his career.
Kevin Durant’s 37-point masterclass against the Utah Jazz wasn’t enough to cover the embarrassment that he faced post Conley’s ankle breaker, that ended up in Durant taking a much-needed time-out mid play, either to reassess his ankle or his life choices. The Brooklyn Nets took an easy dub against the Utah Jazz in a masterful effort by their marquee players Durant, who led the way for his team despite suffering an ankle breaker to Conley, who surely hurt not only his rival’s ankle, but the ego of the entire home crowd, which could do nothing but watch with embarrassment and pain.
The Utah Jazz who have been on a terrific run this season have managed to hurt the egos of the entire Nets fanbase with this one magical move by Mike Conley, which we’re pretty sure isn’t leaving the heads of Durant and his fans, and he shall definitely get flashbacks of it like the Vietnam War. Let us take a closer look at this sequence when Conley dropped Durant and the latter had to take a timeout in order to figure out what just happened.

Conley was on demon time with this move of his, which led to the fall of the easy money sniper, Durant, who seemingly lost his ankles and grabbed it as if he was getting the flashbacks of the Vietnam war, such terrible was the fall. The entire arena went into a frenzy of disbelief and pain as Conley took out Durant’s ankles as they fell apart and turned into dust, ending in a not so smooth fall for Durant.
With 3 minutes 43 seconds remaining on the clock before the end of the 2nd quarter, the Utah Jazz were comfortable moving around the ball, which at one point was passed to Mike Conley, who had Durant right in front of him. Conley saw his rival approaching as he hit a small pump fake, ending in broken ankles for Durant, and him falling down as he held his ankles. Conley then drove inside the paint and hit a floater which ended inside the rim after a short while. The arena was filled with loud “oohs” and “oofs” as they couldn’t believe what they had just seen. The fall of Durant was that devastating.

Durant who has already injured his Achilles this year, due to which he was even out for quite a lot of time definitely got flashbacks of his time out as he fell down and grabbed his ankles. With some disputing the claim that Conley crossed him, it isn’t difficult to notice how easily the former faked out his rival and ended up breaking his ankles. The Nets fanbase can’t take KD’s fall even though it was all a Nets’ game after the incident.
