“He is as good as GONE” Fans react as NBA Insider reveals consequences of LeBron James doesn’t sign an extension with Lakers
LeBron James
A recent report by NBA insider Jake Fischer on LeBron James has shocked the Lakers fans as their star performer might leave Los Angeles after this season. He also thinks that if LBJ doesn’t extend his contract with the LA Lakers this summer, the superstar will be “as good as gone” and will be a free agent for the next season, and can join any team he wants to for 2022-23 NBA season.
The four-time NBA champion joined the Lakers campaign in July month of 2018 in a four-year deal. LeBron in the first season missed qualifying for the playoffs but made a terrific comeback next season and won the NBA championship for the franchise. Now, he is under contract for the 2022-23 season, but it seems that the team’s current performance has forced him to leave them.

LeBron James wants to play the last season of career with his son Bronny James
The 2021-22 NBA season for the Lakers was looking like a golden opportunity as the team was full of star players and when they acquired Russel Westbrook, the team looked invincible, but things didn’t work out as the team management planned for the season.
Westbrook’s ineffectiveness and Anthony Davis’s back-to-back major injuries have caused the dim in the firepower of the Lakers. But there is also a big reason why the King wants to leave LA. The 37-year-old star wants to end his career by playing beside his son Bronny James for one year which he revealed during the all-star week.
“My last year will be played with my son,” James said. “Wherever Bronny is at, that’s where I’ll be. I would do whatever it takes to play with my son for one year. It’s not about the money at that point.”

Before the all-star week started, the Lakers were having a record of 27-31 and were placed on the 9th seed of the western conference, due to this poor performance it is also possible that the franchise might miss the playoffs as the half of the season is already over.
There is no doubt that LeBron James played like an MVP this season and has averaged 29.1 PPG, 7.9 RPG, and 6.5 APG but his decision to move to another team will become a big trouble for the Lakers organization as they will lose their star face and performer for next season.
