“He is been playing some MIP type basketball” Kendrick Perkins hails Kyle Kuzma after 29-point explosion against OKC
Kyle Kuzma and Kendrick Perkins
Kendrick Perkins is a retired NBA player who now is a host at ESPN’s First Take and also a player analyst for the same company. Recently Kendrick praised Kyle Kuzma via his personal Twitter handle for the level at which Kuzma is shining on with the Washington Wizards. The Washington Wizards are currently ranked as the 9th seed in the eastern conference with the record of 21 wins and 20 losses and have a real chance to make it to play-offs as the records are pretty close and it’s just a matter of 3-4 wins straight that will land them to the 5th spot.
This off season the Los Angeles Lakers traded Kyle Kuzma as a part of package to the Washington Wizards in exchange for Russell Westbrook and since then Kuzma is really been a different player and has improved in all directions. Recently the Washington Wizards hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder at Capital One Arena and the close contested head to head match-up between the two went in favouring the Wizards as KCP closed it with a three pointer. The Washington Wizards had awesome team chemistry which secured then the win as the final box score is 122-118.
The Washington Wizards were missing Thomas Bryant and Bradley Beal the offensive runner of the team but it didn’t really matter as taking the responsibility of offense Kuzma with his strong shoulders won it all for the Wizards. Kuzma dropped 29 points, 5 rebounds and 3 assists against the Oklahoma City Thunder and also played some tough defense. This wasn’t the only game Kuz stepped up for the team but was one of the recent one where he did so. Kuzma’s recent performances are really loud enough to make him a strong candidate for NBA’s MIP award as Kendrick Perkins heard it and showed his appreciation on Twitter.

Kendrick Perkins on Kyle Kuzma
After the Oklahoma City Thunder and Washington Wizards match-up ended Kendrick Perkins praising Kyle Kuzma tweeted: “Kuzma may dress crazy and weird as hell… but when it comes down to what’s happening between those lines I can’t front his basketball game is on another level! I’m talking some Most Improved Player type basketball. Carry on…”
Kendrick Perkins really threw a lot of light on the strong case of Kyle Kuzma for league’s Most Improved Player which is very true as the numbers, stat-line and the influence with the chemistry Kuzma has in the team speaks for it self. This season Kuzma is averaging 15.6 points, 8.6 rebounds and 2.8 assists and has improved in all aspects from shooting to passing then what he was during his time playing alongside Anthony Davis and LeBron James at Los Angeles Lakers.
This season if Kyle Kuzma continues to play on the level he is playing he has a sure shot at winning the Most Improved Player award. The great team chemistry of Washington Wizards especially between Spencer Dinwiddie, Bradley Beal and Kyle Kuzma can carry the squad to play-offs and even further if they stick to the plan and stay committed since the team really has the potential to win it all if they want to.
