The Lakers who were already struggling to find the form to even manage to get into the playoffs got hope after the return of Anthony Davis recently which was accompanied by him scoring points and leading the way for the Lakers in many categories, controlling the game and having a positive impact on the team. With Anthony Davis again injuring his ankle, the Lakers seem to be losing hope which they had regained and their chances of getting into the playoffs are dented more after this happening.

In the 2nd quarter of the Lakers’ match against the Utah Jazz in which the Lakers were struggling, Anthony Davis managed to score 17 points, 2 assists and 2 rebounds in the 17 minutes that he was on court, after which he injured his ankle and had to be taken off court which was a scary sight for all the Lakers fans around the world. Anthony Davis was even seen being carried into the locker room as he seemingly couldn’t walk which also testifies in favour of the fact that the injury is real and he might potentially be out for a long while.

With the kind of injury that Davis has faced, he is said to be out for at least 4-weeks and will have to go through medical procedures during the coming All-Star Break and will be missing multiple games in the process which definitely isn’t good news for the player or his team.

In reaction to Davis’ injury, coach Frank Vogel said, “He was shaking his head about everything. He was frustrated because like it looks like he is going to miss some time”, adding to which the Lakers’ marquee player LeBron James said, “It was sickening to see AD go down in that fashion. It was an unfortunate play. The good thing is he will be better a week from today when we all come back. He’ll be back as soon as he can. Nothing to rush.”

LeBron James led the way for the Lakers with 33 points, 5 assists and 8 rebounds followed by Anthony Davis and Russell Westbrook who scored 17 points each in an effort to take the Lakers to a win against their rivals, the Utah Jazz.

In an inadequate effort and lack of performance display in the end moments, Donovan Mitchell led the way for the Utah Jazz with 37 points, 5 assists and 3 rebounds, followed by Bojan Bogdanovic who scored 15 points and Jordan Clarkson who scored 13 which wasn’t enough to grant them the dub.
