“He was damn serious”: Fans react to Michael Jordan wanting Magic Johnson to play 1-on-1 with him amid the All-Star Game

Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson both were present at the NBA 75 celebration during the All-Star Game. As both, the players are all-time greats and legends of the league.  Magic and Michael also share a special relationship between them as from being rivals to playing together at the Dream Team it has always been all about pure respect between the two. At the ceremony, Michael Jordan once again showed his competitiveness as he challenged Magic Johnson for a 1-on-1 matchup.

Magic Johnson and Michael Jordan both were part of the NBA All-Time 75 list, and thus were part of the ceremony in the middle of the All-Star game that honored the legends selected as all-time greats. Magic Johnson is one of the best point guards the league has ever seen, known for his god-like playmaking ability with crazy and amazing passes that can not be countered. He is also a five-time NBA champion, three-time Finals MVP and three-time regular season MVP of the league as he maintained one of the best resumes during his days.

On the other hand, Michael Jordan is the G.O.A.T for many as they find him the best ever to do it. He was also the most dominant force on the court with whom nobody wanted to fall into a mess with. During his career Michael had two three-peats winning six championships. He is also a six-time Finals MVP as he was undefeated and never let the series go to a game seven, while also being five times regular-season MVP.

Twitter reacts to Michael Jordan challenges Magic Johnson for a 1-on-1 match-up

Michael Jordan and Magic Johnson before the ceremony of NBA 75 were seen standing backstage with other stars like Dwayne Wade as they discussed Basketball, life and league like a group of friends does. But all of a sudden Michael Jordan challenged Magic Johnson for a 1-on-1 match-up as he quoted: “Old dog, right there… Where you shooting at? We’ll go play 1-on-1, me and you right now.”

Jordan looked serious for the match-up as he challenged Magic for it and so were the fans as they imagined the two greats going at each other. But unfortunately, it didn’t happen and was just a fun moment from the side of “Black Cat”. Even if both the greats went against each other the match-up would be quite interesting and unpredictable. But Jordan would hold higher grounds as he has always been the shot maker, unlike Johnson who was known for his awesome playmaking skills.
