“Hell of a minute”: Jordan Poole buries a clutch three as Warriors give their ‘heart and soul’ to extend winning streak to 7 without Curry-Thompson-Draymond

Jordan Poole once again lived up to the expectations and showed out to the league why he deserves a spot in line-ups and rotations of the heavily talented roster of Golden State Warriors. Stephen Curry, Klay Thompson, Draymond Green, Andrew Wiggins and Andre Iguodala were all sidelined due to injuries as the San Antonio Spurs hosted the Dubs at AT&T Center. Steve Kerr had most of the starters on rest or sidelined as the team wont like to risk any players health since the play-offs approach.

The match-up was closely contested and head to head but had San Antonio Spurs in the lead for the majority of the game. But in the fourth quarter, the Warriors bounced back and signing the deal to win registered their seven-game winning streak against the Spurs. The Golden State Warriors are currently ranked as the second seed in the western conference with the record of 39 wins and 13 losses at .750. On the other hand, the Spurs who have initiated a rebuild are currently ranked as the twelfth seed in the western conference with the record of 19 wins and 33 losses at .365.

The Warriors secured the win because of Jordan Poole’s efforts on both ends with Moses Moody and Damion Lee coming up great on the supporting side. Jordan Poole (31 points, 5 assists and 6 rebounds) dropped a 30 piece while hitting a clutch three-pointer in the final seconds which gave them a 2 point lead and eventually resulted as a game-winner. Fans at both the ends appreciate the game as it had a wild ending which got finished off in style by the Dubs as they came back from a 17-point deficit.

Jordan Poole closed it for the San Antonio Spurs in the last minute of the game. But both the teams played their heart and soul out on the court as none of them gave up until the final whistle was blown. The last play by the Dubs where Jordan Poole missed one three-pointer before hitting the other is fan favorite as the ball traveled a long way before getting back to Poole. Lee after a steal got it back to him in the corner where he was left wide open. Damion Lee also drew a foul with 4 seconds remaining for the game to end and aced out the two free throws giving the Warriors a 4 point lead.

Twitter has thousands of mad reactions to this wild ending of the game as they loved the efforts from both ends. Fans are appreciating and praising Jordan Poole for stepping up and delivering as the team was shorthanded while some call him out for traveling on the layup.
