Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant were part of the same draft class as they got in to the league in 1996. Both the players are Hall of Famer and legends of the game as they even make it to the NBA 75 list. Allen Iverson and Kobe Bryant have a special relationship between them full of pure respect and friendship. As the closely contested and head to head match-ups between the two which showcased the legendary skills and greats of the two brought an obsession from both the ends.

Allen Iverson is one of the most influential players around the league as he came up with the iconic crossover move and also gave Michael Jordan a taste of it. His unique moves and handles are still part of the game and present in the league. From time to time those handles just kept getting better and now are must for the guards in and around the league. As everyone wants to have Iverson like handles in their bag. A.I wasn’t a big guy but was too skilled to torture anyone on the court with his godlike handling and scoring ability. Iverson retired from the league with a heavy resume winning an MVP award, getting a trip to finals, multiple All-Star selections, multiple stealing and scoring titles.

Kobe Bryant is one of the all-time great players in the history of the game. He is also referred to as “Black Mamba” and is the inspiration for many around the globe. As fans and even many young stars of the league idolize him as they inspire by him and his theory of Mamba Mentality. Kobe Bryant had the best work ethic ever as the story of his heroics, determinations and godlike performances are loud enough to be heard. He also mastered the art of pump-fake, shot selecting, bad shot-making and especially the unique footwork.

Kobe Bryant in his 20 seasons long career played alongside Los Angeles Lakers throughout. While he also won 5 championships and was also a part of the last team to three-peat in the league. He was also named league’s MVP once and had two FMVPs, with eighteen All-Star selections. Mamba has always been in the G.O.A.T conversation but lately after his demise in January 2020 most of the time he is left behind in many debates and even A.I hinted at it years ago.

A video clip of Allen Iverson stands viral on the internet after LeBron James claimed himself as the greatest Basketball player at NBA 75 during the All-Star Weekend. In the viral clip Allen discussing the G.O.A.T conversation quoted: “What bothers me is when they do talk about it, LeBron is great, first of all, when they talk about comparing him to Michael, I don’t understand how they don’t have the debate when it comes to Kobe. Like, I don’t get it. What, you forgot or something? They forgot? I really think they forgot. I really think they forgot the Mamba, man, the certified serial killer, man.”

Allen also showed respect to LeBron James and Michael Jordan as he tried to draw some attention on the heroics of Kobe Bryant. Fans somewhere have really been forgetting how great and good Kobe Bryant was as there aren’t many debates that have his name in them nowadays. Allen Iverson though has always been showing the correct respect to him. As every All-Time great list of A.I has Mamba as a part of it.
