In a wild development, the Michigan Wolverines versus Wisconsin Badgers game finished appalling. After a sketchy break called late in the final quarter, lead trainer Juwan Howard stood up to Greg Gard. It ultimately turned terrible after Howard threw a punch at a contradicting mentor. Jeff Goodman shows the battle that followed after Michigan lost to the Badgers.

Following the Michigan Wolverines‘ 77-63 misfortune against the Wisconsin Badgers, Howard and Wisconsin’s lead trainer `shook hands, and Howard should have been visible offering something to Gard.

Gard got Howard with his passed close by to prevent the Michigan mentor from moving to the following individual to warmly greet, which appeared to outrage Howard. Coach Howard seemingly had a weird explanation when he said that he punched the other team’s coach first in what he calls “self-defence” which doesn’t really sit right with a lot many people.

Jalen Rose specifically felt the need to highlight how pained he was on seeing the incident go down and that it was the first time he was reacting to that incident anywhere as he didn’t really feel like doing it.

In a situation that Jalen Rose said could be avoided, he emphasised on how the coaches of both the teams, Juwan Howard from Michigan and Greg Gard from Wisconsin would have things they would feel they shouldn’t have done or things that they could’ve done in a different way in order to prevent such bad things from happening which would involve two adults who are supposed to calm down the fights instead stats fighting.

Jalen Rose also highlighted that what Howard did was a punishable offence and he deserves to be punished but he also specified that it wasn’t severe enough to result in him being fired and therefore, he shouldn’t be fired by the Michigan administration. Rose then went on to talk about the unwritten rules where he said he wasn’t mad at them but also felt that calling a timeout 15 seconds before the match ends was completely unnecessary and this was also something which Juwan Howard sated in telling us the reason as to why he didn’t want to shake hands with the other head coach.

In what seemed to be a justification of Howard’s actions, Rose tried to defend him at certain points when he stated that Howard to the other coach to not put his hands on him when they were in the process of shaking hands as he disagreed with their decision to call a timeout. But in the end, Rose reiterated that it was an unfortunate incident which shouldn’t have happened and both the coaches, including Juwan Howard would look at it and think of the things they could’ve done differently while reiterating that Juwan should be punished, but not fired.
