“I’m officially out for the season” LeBron James’ April Fools Day joke makes NBA fans on Twitter go bonkers
LeBron James
With Los Angeles Lakers currently sitting on the 11th berth in the Western Conference, marquee scorer and star player, LeBron James decided to open his book of jokes of April Fools’ Day to get the better of some die-hard fans. On one hand, where the Lakers are in serious concern of missing the postseason, the casual yet humorous style of King James is surely getting on the nerves of some fans.
After his particular joke upon missing the rest of the season, ‘officially’. It seems like no one has informed LeBron James about the tough schedule/matchups lined up for the purple and gold army in the regular season. To those who are not aware, they are bound to play twice against the Denver Nuggets, once against Golden State Warriors and NBA’s best Phoenix Suns.
Twitter goes bonkers after LeBron James’ April Fools Day mockery
The Los Angeles Lakers were without their top star for the last two games, both losses. LeBron has been dealing with a nagging knee injury and now an ankle injury as he tries to drag his team to the postseason.
LeBron James being done for the rest of the season would be the final nail in the coffin for this disappointing Lakers team, so this surely put a scare into some fans. On the other hand, there are probably a lot of Lakers fans who wouldn’t mind this season just coming to an end because of how miserable it has been.
Take a look at how fans reacted on King James’ unique April Fools Day joke-
With the New Orleans Pelicans up next for the Lakers, either Lebron James’ joke signifies what the team is looking to burst upon, with Anthony Davis returning. Or perhaps this, can hurt LeBron James in worse ways, especially knowing that he hyped his team’s potential before the start of the 2021-22 NBA Season as well.
Will we see the most significant turnaround in the history of the league? Surely, April Fools Day has us all stuck to the television screens.
