Wayne Ellington and Facundo Campazzo

With majority of Los Angeles Lakers stars sitting out for the season finale against the Denver Nuggets, it was a chance for players like Wayne Ellington, Austin Reaves to leave a mark on the team before major change before the next season. However, with the Denver Nuggets looking to end the season on a positive note, before entering the postseason, Facundo Campazzo surely could not keep his calm as he got himself ejected.

Little did NBA fans understand, Campazzo came from behind to unnecessarily shove Wayne Ellington. As impressive as the latter was, the Argentine’s absence surely haunted Nikola Jokic’s team as they lost in OT. While the headlines were stolen by the brilliance of Malik Monk and Austin Reaves yet Ellington made sure, he hasn’t forgotten the dirty play by Campazzo; issuing him a threat.

Understanding that the Nuggets vs Lakers game was as competitive as it should have been, Facundo’s shove on Ellington was not clear, on many levels to different personnel. While the aftermath of this incident could have been every different, if the Lakers were contesting in the postseason. But with all of their hot-headed stars on the sideline, the Argentine surely escaped a heated exchange.

However, apart from Wayne Ellington’s warning, the highlight of the game was Malik Monk’s career-high 41 points. And Austin Reaves historic triple-double of 31 points, 16 rebounds and 10 assists. Safe to say, this particular 17-point comeback victory was one of the best for the purple and gold army.
