“I’m speechless”: Twitter erupts in anger as Magic Johnson lashes out on Lakers after falling against Lillard-less Blazers
Los Angeles Lakers and Magic Johnson
The Los Angeles Lakers have once again fallen short against an average team as the Portland Trailblazers edge past them at Moda Center. Portland Trailblazers entered the match with an average roster as now they miss CJ McCollum, Damian Lillard, Normal Powell and Robert Covington. But still, the Blazers were successful in shutting down the star-padded and veteran roster of the Los Angeles Lakers which is led by LeBron James himself. The final Box score of the game stands at 107-105.
The game was closely contested and head to head but the Lakers fell short in the second half and sold the game, something none expected from them. Magic Johnson after the game took his frustration and disappointment for the team out on Twitter as he called them out via a tweet. LeBron James in the game had 30 points, 7 assists and 7 rebounds while the other supporting cast again fell short in adding to LeBron’s 30-piece. Anthony Davis had some influence on the defensive end for a while but again went off the road on both ends as he had only 17 points for 41 minutes.
The Los Angeles Lakers were also missing Russell Westbrook, the veteran point guard they kept blaming for their losses so far the season. This loss just made it very clear that Russ was the scapegoat and not the real problem as it has always been the veteran roster and chemistry issues which have the Lakers go southwards. Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers are ranked as the 9th seed in the western conference with the record of 26 wins and 30 losses at .464.

Twitter and Magic Johnson reacts to Los Angeles Lakers’ loss against the Portland Trailblazers
Magic Johnson himself has been the franchise star and president of basketball operations for the Los Angeles Lakers. As a result of that, he has never held himself back in criticizing the players and letting them know it all in a clear and precise manner. Recently, in a tweet after the Lakers fell short against the Blazers Magic frustratingly quoted: “After the @Lakers Loss to Portland tonight, I’m speechless. No words can describe how I’m feeling.”
Magic seemed disappointed with the team and this particular loss with the tweet may force heavy changes as there are only 24 hours left for the trade deadline to end. The Lakers still want to improve and get some mobility before the deadline as the front office wants to ship many stars across the league but still hasn’t been successful in any talk.
But it isn’t just Magic who is frustratingly disappointed. The whole Lakers nation has joined him in the rally as they criticize the team for losing and maintaining a losing record. Twitter has been flooded with fans posting their critical reactions. Find some of many such reactions on Twitter here below:
