“I’m Waiting!” Grizzlies star Ja Morant reveals true feeling on Anthony Edwards showdown in playoffs

Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards

The NBA postseason is always filled with stars locking horns against one another. The 2021-22 season’s showdown is no different as modern-day NBA fans are all set to witness two young faces of the league- Ja Morant and Anthony Edwards. The Minnesota Timberwolves got the better of Los Angeles Clippers in the play-in contest, to secure their berth in the final stages.

Safe to say, Ja Morant is more than excited than anybody to lock horns against Anthony Edwards. Moreover, the young Grizzlies star has decided to hype up the contest in his own way. Not only are these two scorers, two of the most athletic, energetic and power-packed performers. But have even led their team from the front. Surely, it could not getter than this.

Ja Morant vs Anthony Edwards all set for Round 1

Making things even more exciting, the Memphis Grizzlies and Minnesota Timberwolves actually split their four meetings this season–and none of them won back-to-back games in their meetings. Moreover, there is just one game that Ja Morant was not able to play in those contests, so you know these two teams match up very well.

Talking about the individual performances of these two stars, Ja Morant averaged 27.4 points, 5.7 rebounds and 6.7 assists per game this 2021-22. While Anthony Edwards had a solid line of 21.3 points, 4.8 rebounds and 3.8 assists.

That being said, it is the Memphis Grizzlies who would enter this series as the favorites. Given that the team has been playing so well, without their marquee scorer, his presence is surely going to improving their scoring prowess. With the likes of Jaren Jackson Jr, Dillon Brooks and Desmond Bane all rising to the occasion, it will be interesting to see how Karl Anthony Towns and Patrick Beverley are able to stop them.

Will we witness the underdogs cause an upset or are the Grizzlies going to demonstrate the same form as they showcased in the regular season? Remains to be seen.
