The Indiana Pacers’ victory over the Milwaukee Bucks in Game 6 of the series saw an unexpected incident unfold involving Bucks guard Patrick Beverley and a Pacers fan. Although no harm came to either party involved, the altercation drew attention online.

According to NBA insider, Shams Charania, Beverley’s actions against the fan and the media post-game, which also went viral, will be looked into by the league. He also revealed the reason for the aforementioned altercation which, as per sources, was started by the Pacers fan’s taunt.

After the fan started taunting, Beverley threw the ball and accidentally hit a woman in the stands. Then, when the fan tossed it back, Beverley threw it back aggressively and accidentally hit another woman nearby.

Patrick Beverley did not cool down even after the game

Following the Game 6 loss, reports surfaced that Patrick Beverley denied an interview with a female reporter from ESPN. This action of Beverley was criticized by many, including Rachel Nichols, who seemed to have known the reporter. According to her, the female reporter who was denied the interview is one of the well-known TV producers in sports media. 

Yeah, none of this is okay. The woman he’s addressing is one of the most accomplished and professional TV producers not just at ESPN but in all of sports media, which makes Pat look even more foolish here.

Beverley’s attitude around the fans as well as the media was not taken lightly by any critic. Charles Barkley also gave his take, saying he wants Pat Bev suspended for his Game 6 antics. It will be interesting to see whether Beverley faces any suspension or a ban as the league investigates the situation.
