The Los Angeles Lakers have once again found themselves outside a play-in spot, and there is little time left this season. The Lakers have not been on a great run lately, losing 3 of their last four games as LeBron James has been missing for a few weeks. LeBron James is recovering from an injury, and his presence in their next game against the Orlando Magic is in doubt.

NBA Fantasy players are waiting for the King to return, as he was incredible for the Lakers while fit. The Lakers are 10-14 without LeBron this season and desperately await his return. Their next game against the Orlando Magic presents a good chance for a return, as the Lakers will go into the game as the favorites to win.

LeBron James will not feature for the Los Angeles Lakers tonight against the Orlando Magic as he has not fully recovered from his injury yet. Lebron picked up a foot injury in the Los Angeles Laker’s 28-point comeback win against the Dallas Mavericks in early March. The Lakers have missed LeBron in that stretch but did show some signs of progress with Anthony Davis and D’Angelo Russell stepping up.

NBA Fantasy players will have to extend their wait to see the King in action again, and they would hope it is before the playoffs. LeBron James has been with the Los Angeles Lakers since 2018/19 and has only made the playoffs twice. The Lakers did go on to win a championship in one of those seasons but got dumped in the first round in 2021.

LeBron James has played as a small forward or power forward for the Lakers this season. However, the King has played all five positions throughout his career. LeBron played as a point guard as recently as 2020 and led the league in assists. King James can guard all five positions and is adept on any part of the court. LeBron’s game has evolved throughout his career.

James started as an athletic guard who slashed and scored tons of points; as he matured, he developed into a more physical and dominating forward and looked to use the mid-range much more. LeBron has always been a pass-first player throughout his career, which is no surprise why he always brought the ball up the court during crunch time.

The King has been a staple on every fantasy roster this season, averaging 52.2 fantasy points per game. LeBron has been dominant as ever in his 20th season, averaging 30 points per game while breaking the all-time scoring record in February. The 4x MVP ranks fifth amongst players selected in his position in fantasy basketball and has been a must-have player.

LeBron James is predicted to be back from his injury by April for the NBA playoffs. The King was seen without a foot brace over recent Lakers games, but there is still no official update on his condition. LeBron will want to participate in the playoffs, especially this year, as he has stated the importance of making the playoffs to Los Angeles and his legacy as a player.

The King will not be featuring tonight, but the NBA has a packed schedule on Sunday night with stars on display. Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are teammates who play the same positions as LeBron James and might be the best players to replace the King. The Los Angeles Clippers have won 4 of their last five games and Kawhi has been on a tear,

Kawhi is averaging 30 points and eight rebounds over his last five games, making him a lethal replacement for LeBron. Paul George is averaging just a shade under Kawhi at 28 points per game. These guys are apt replacements for LeBron as the Clippers take on the Portland Trailblazers tonight. Fantasy players will have a tough choice making their team work without the King in the middle.
