LeBron James
The Los Angeles Lakers are on the brink of making the postseason, but LeBron James is still not back from his injury. The Lakers face the Oklahoma City Thunder tonight in a crucial matchup in the Western Conference race for the playoffs. The Lakers have had a rough season, but it all looks to be coming to fruition in the end with Austin Reaves finding great form.
Reaves has received praise from LeBron James while he was injured after dropping a 35-point performance earlier this month. The Lakers are in a tough fight for a playoff spot, and so are OKC. Just one loss dropped the Thunder from the 8th seed to the 11th seed in an incredible batch of games last night. NBA Fantasy players will hope the King returns soon as he is a valuable asset come playoff time.
Is LeBron James playing tonight?
LeBron James will not be featuring in tonight’s matchup against OKC despite rumors that he is expected to have an early recovery. The King took to Twitter to respond to words stories by saying – ” There wasn’t an evaluation today, and there hasn’t been any target date for my return. I’m working around the clock, every day(3X a day), to give myself the best chance of returning to full strength whenever possible. God bless you all sources. I speak for myself!“
The Los Angeles Lakers will be happy considering LeBron can get back into training routines this quickly, considering his injury was feared to be much worse than it was. NBA Fantasy players will have to prolong their wait to see LeBron James, but they would not mind if he makes it back just in time for the playoffs. The Lakers could face the Dallas Mavericks in the play-in, which would be a sensational matchup.
Where is LeBron James playing?
LeBron James has operated as a point guard in the past by leading the league in assists in 2020. The King, however, has transitioned into his old role of a small forward or power forward. LeBron has been playing in LA for five years throughout his career. LeBron’s key strength is his ability to guard all five positions, which he does to perfection.
LeBron’s versatility has made him amass many points, rebounds, and assists throughout his career. He is the only player with 30k points, 10k rebounds, and 10k assists in NBA history. The Lakers will miss LeBron James’ presence against the Oklahoma City Thunder, as his veteran experience would be perfect against a young team like OKC.
LeBron James’ Fantasy updates and predictions
LeBron is averaging 52.2 fantasy points this season and is amongst the top five most popular selections amongst power forwards and small forwards. The King is in his 20th season and still averaging almost 30 points per game in the NBA this season. LeBron has been the savior for most teams he has been on throughout his career, and he was one for LA at the start of the season.
The King will look to compete for his 5th championship after missing out on the playoffs for the first time in a long time last season. LeBron has said he is determined to make this season count after the horrible start they had going 0-5. LeBron James’ alternatives for your Fantasy Team
The King is still recovering, but many more stars are on the show tonight. The Boston Celtics take on the Indiana Pacers, and Jayson Tatum will look to continue his dominant scoring after dropping 36 points against the Sacramento Kings in their last game. Tatum is averaging 49.8 Fantasy points per game this season and is a perfect replacement for LeBron James.
The next best player is his Celtics teammate Jaylen Brown, who is also in excellent form this season. The Boston Celtics are currently the #2 seed, mainly due to Brown and Tatum’s brilliance. Brown averaged 41.9 Fantasy points per game this season and was also an NBA-All star. The Celtics will look to push on their 50-win season and close it out in style, so do expect Tatum and Brown to fire.
