“It ain’t just Steph, it’s the Warriors” Draymond Green hilariously triggered by Stephen Curry for shooting too much
Draymond Green and Stephen Curry
Stephen Curry is the primary figure behind the success of Golden State Warriors and it is no surprise to anyone, about the role of 3-Point King has been playing for decades. Knowing the Warriors have been a super-house in the Western Conference, Chef Curry has been pivotal in forming that image of his team. Apart from the former MVP, Klay Thompson and Draymond Green are two big names, who will go down in franchise’s history.
Stephen Curry is the greatest shooter to have ever embraced the NBA, but it seems like once in a while, he gets onto the nerve of his own teammates turned pals. The most recent to fit the bill, was Draymond Green. Moreover, Curry got to know about the same, when he joined Andre Iguodala on the latest episode of The Humble Giant Podcast.

Stephen Curry hilariously angered Draymond Green
This incident goes back to the playoffs in 2016. After missing four playoff games in 2016, Curry returned to the Warriors line-up against the Portland Trail Blazers in the Western Conference Semi-finals. As Stephen Curry struggled to shake off the rust, Draymond became fed up with the volume in which Steph was shooting.
“He hadn’t gotten into his groove yet, so he would be like 2-for-12 or whatever it is. And Draymond started (being) Draymond, saying ‘hey man, this is the Warriors,” Iguodala revealed. “This ain’t just Steph Curry. It’s the Steph Curry Show but it ain’t just Steph Curry, it’s the Warriors.’
“I’m like, Draymond, chill man. Just let him shoot it out. ‘Nah, G, we working hard out here too …’ I’m like just let him and Klay [Thompson] do their thing, especially him. That’s like telling you don’t go rove on defense.”
That being said, instructing or expecting the greatest shooter in the history of basketball not to shoot is a fight that nobody will win, something which is true in every case.
“Steph took another shot and he’s going crazy,” Iguodala said. “And you know how it is with Draymond, he could be going crazy and we look at each other like ‘who are you yelling at?’ Because you don’t know … He was like ‘dang you took a bad shot,’ and (Steph) looked at me and was like ‘and I’m going to shoot it again!'”
