“It sucks tbh… but then I remember I’m rich so I smile like this …”: Pacers’ Myles Turner fires back amid TikTok comment controversy

Myles Turner has already been trending since the past two months as Indiana Pacers who are initiating a rebuild look to trade him away and get some young guns and draft picks to rebuild the franchise. But it isn’t just the trade block and deadline which has him trending his controversial comments on TikTok probably have the bigger part in it.

Indiana Pacers are currently ranked as the 13^th seed in the eastern conference with the record of 19 wins and 36 losses at .345 as they miss their veterans and always fall short with no one to lead. On the other hand, Myles Turner is just 25 years old and already a better center who can also live up to the role of a power forward, and the Pacers being nice and not really wanting to waste his prime are searching for a new home for him.

Recently, Myles Turner sparked controversy by replying to a TikTok user were he got the internet and fans heated up. A user at TikTok asked Myles: “How you feel being on a failing team.” Replying to it Turner commented: “It sucks tbh… but then I remember I’m rich so I smile like this…” This comment from the young center has fans hurt their feelings but many believe it is just how Myles is since many know him and love him for his energy, character and the sarcasm he carries around.

Many and Myles Turner himself believe that he has just been misunderstood by the fans where he didn’t really meant what he said. As Taylor Tannebaum who quoted: “Y’all. Y’all. Listen, if this upsets you then you simply haven’t been paying attention to Myles Turner for like…years. 1. He speaks sarcasm. He will always troll back. 2. What athlete do you know what would say “I love being on a failing team!”. Zero I’d presume.” in a tweet on Twitter which got retweeted by Myles Turner as he totally agreed with her and said: “Thank You Taylor! Sheesh! I promise it’s not that deep! Y’all are reaching this fine evening 😮‍💨.”

Further, Myles also explained this tweet of his, so none misunderstands what he has quoted. Intellectually with a bit of sarcasm explaining what he meant he said not that deep means not that serious and reaching means trying to make something out of nothing. Myles shut downed all the misunderstanding just with a tweet and now even fans agree with him as he has always been that funny guy.

The Indiana Pacers have already moved Caris Levert to Cleveland Cavaliers and now look forward to utilizing Myles Turner in a trade to help them rebuild. With the deadline nearing and the front desk being on and hot we may soon find Turner shipped across the league.
