The New Orleans was struggling this year and didn’t have anything extra to celebrate, but on Thursday night they got their chance to bring back a smile on their side after they defeated the New York Knicks in the highly exciting game by the score of 102-91.

The game might have been won by the New Orleans Pelicans, but the fan’s heart was won by Brandon Ingram, Josh Hart, and especially Jose Alvarado. It was a memorable game for Alvarado as this was the first his parents watched him live in the action.

Jose Alvarado was eager to show his appreciation to Ingram and Hart as they paid for his family for the tickets to the game and Ingram even shared his jersey with Alvarado’s brother. In the post-game interview, he said, “Words can’t really describe how I felt.”
Later Alvarado added, “It’s just an amazing feeling. Just like I said in an earlier interview, just to see my parents out there, having a jersey on that’s not custom made — it’s really like a Pelicans jersey — so it’s pretty cool.”
Moreover, Jose Alvarado was the hero of the game he brought the Pelicans back into the game when they were struggling to stand against the Knicks. Alvarado scored his career-high 13 points, 4 steals, and 4 assists which changed the scenario of the game.

Alvarado is an undrafted rookie for the Pelicans but now he has improved and was inspired to show his true potential to appreciate his teammate’s gesture by giving his hundred percent in the game. He was happy when the Pelicans Broadcast interviewed him.

He said, “When I saw the fans start coming and people that I know and how much they were showing me love, I felt like it was one of those nights.”
This might not be a good season for the Pelicans, but this game was totally owned by them. The game showed the sportsmanship, love between the players, and how much they care for each other’s effort put into the game.
