JA Morant breaks silence on ‘disrespectful’ stare at Warriors fan

The Memphis Grizzlies are having it all by being the hottest teams right now in the league especially their star guard Ja Morant. Like, really. The Grizzlies have three consecutive wins against the top-tier teams of this season. First, the LA Clipper then LA Lakers, and now the Golden State Warriors the grizzlies have shown the elites how it’s done.

With Klay Thompson’s return on the court, the Warriors were expected to have an outburst in the performativity department but seems like they are keeping it light so as to not overwhelm their recent addition to the roster. Thompson played for 20 minutes and rope 14 points whereas the star player of the team Stephen Curry scored a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and 10 assists.

Still, the Warriors fell short to the Grizzlies and handed them the victory by 116-108 during the point. But seems like the victory came with a controversy for Ja Morant when he was caught staring disrespectfully toward a young fan.

Ja Morant cemented Grizzlies’ win when he scored a layup and was able to draw a foul with less than 30 seconds left on the clock. With the free throw, he took his personal score to a 29 point game with 5 rebounds and 8 assists. But seems like in that heat of the moment Morant did something that didn’t look very respectful on the camera.

After drawing the foul, Morant was seen giving a very disrespectful stare to some young fans in the crowd who were wearing the Golden State Warriors’ jersey and people didn’t like it. Ja Morant spoke in his defense during the post-match conference.

Morant said,“He was disrespectful with that jersey on. We Memphis. It looked like he wanted to cheer, but he had that jersey on. I apologize to him, but in that moment, bro, take that jersey off and then dap me up.”

The 22-year old star explained how he wanted to offer them a consolation present.

The whole situation makes no sense because irrespective of the jersey one wear they are entitled to have their own list of favorite players especially when they are young.
