Though he is known for his high-level athleticism and insane ability to cut through defenders to finish at the rim, his shooting has bettered over the off-season. He now averages 49.5% from the field, 34.6% from three, and 76.3% from the line. Last year he shot under 45% from the field and barely made any of his shot attempts. The Grizzlies have now overtaken the Golden State Warriors for second place in the West with a record of 45 wins and 22 losses. They are one of the top contenders out the West to compete for the title this season and Morant is the biggest reason.

NBA players and their mothers have shown the audience very strong relationships and support. Behind every successful man is an intelligent woman. “Starting with my mom, that’s like my best friend. We are real close. The person who made me who I am today and taught me how to carry myself and respect women.”  Ja was all appreciative of his mother Jamie Morant who is one of his biggest supporters around today.

The player also has a sister and a daughter of his own as well. Morant certainly knows a thing or two being surrounded by women who absolutely care for him and his career.”We celebrate women’s day every day. Down the line to my little sister, just teaching her and now to my daughter. Raising her the same way my parents raised me to be respectful even though she’s a woman, she’s no less than nobody in the world even a man.”
