Stephen Curry and James Harden

There is no excuse for saying James Harden is not fit to be among the NBA’s top 75 players list. Harden is known for being a very skilled guard who uses his impressive ball handling to misdirect defenders and score. He has been very successful in drawing contact and creating space for him to score from deep as you would have seen him hit the famous Harden step back three. Many players have adopted his style of playing which makes him even more iconic and important to the game of basketball.

The Beard started off as a sixth man for the Oklahoma City Thunder and his talent rightfully earned him the Sixth Man of the Year Award in 2012. The 10-time All-Star slowly transitioned into a consistent scorer giving him the opportunity to lead the Houston Rockets where he won the MVP award while averaging over 30 points per game in three consecutive years.

After having to work with a stagnant team and with age setting in, Harden forced a trade out of Houston to join forces with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving in hopes of winning a ring. Unfortunately, the All-Star guard did not find what he was looking for with the Brooklyn Nets and once again forced a trade to a team he personally felt was “hungry” for winning a championship.

After joining the Brooklyn Nets, they had the player take on a secondary role behind Kevin Durant. Harden was used as a facilitator for his team and it worked seemingly well for them. But he felt that his champion teammates were not in a hurry to win another title where as he was. A trade took place sending Harden to the Sixers in exchange of Ben Simmons, Seth Curry, and Andre Drummond.

After being listed out for a couple of weeks due to a left hamstring injury until last night when he made his debut for his new family. A very happy James Harden put on a beautiful display of shooting 71% from three sinking 5 of 7 of the attempts. In a blowout win over the Minnesota Timberwolves 102-133, the Sixers guard scored 27 points along with 12 assists, and 8 rebounds. This season he averages 22.5 points, 8 rebounds, and 10.2 assists per game.

James Harden records a milestone joining Stephen Curry in the All-Time three-pointers made list

NBA lovers all know that the league has entered an era that involves very high level scoring and an abnormal amount of three-point attempts. But there are only a few players who have the accuracy of an artificial intelligence system with one of them being James Harden. He has been a 36.2% three-point shooter his entire career and had led the league in the same during many occasions in the past.

During his debut with the Sixers, Harden entered the top four among three-pointers made during the regular season with a total of 2552 made attempts surpassing Kyle Korver who was also an associate of his in Brooklyn. Harden is eight three-pointer short of dethroning Reggie Miller (2560) for the third spot on the list. He becomes only one of four players to make 2550 three-pointers including Stephen Curry. The Beard might come to closest to beating the legendary point guard but only time will determine the outcome.
