Stephen A Smith and JJ Redick have a bit of a thought class on ESPN’s ‘First Take’. Smith has been quite vocal about his uptake on the whole of LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart’s bloody scuffle and wanted a suspension for LeBron James, and stringent action against Isaiah Stewart.
The third quarter had quite an unexpected turn in LA Lakers vs Detroit Pistons’ Game on Sunday. LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart met with a little altercation that turned bloody when James’s arm smacked Isaiah’s face and cut open an area above his right eye.
Though LeBron said that the hit was totally unintentional still considering the seriousness of the situation the NBA has suspended LeBron James for one game.
A lot of people have bifurcating views regarding this situation and seems like Sports Broadcaster Stephen A Smith and NBA player turned Sports analyst JJ Redick has a disagreement too.
Stephen A Smith gets Tongue-tied by JJ Redick
On First Take, Smith and Redick engage in a discussion regarding NBA’s hot topic “LeBron James and Isaiah Stewart.” Both the parties were putting forward their take on the situation when Smith compares this situation to portray how the NBA players actually feel about LeBron James on the court.
He said, “In my estimation, from the people that I’ve spoken to covering the league, [LeBron] has never been feared. … With LeBron, you believe you can take him. You believe he can be had.”
This is where the things were dissected into two directions because Redick disagreed. Redick countered this question by saying, “I don’t know if you actually believe what you are saying!”
LeBron James’ presence on the court does intimidate players, and the one who has played with him knows it better than who just analysis it. Redick further added, “No, I played the game, I’m telling you that you are wrong.”
Zak Noble an Agent Advisor with Sports Management Worldwide since mid-2012 took on Twitter to share this segment from the show and wrote, “JJ Redick, is just who the people need.”
And, the fans are going berserk over this whole interaction between Stephen A Smith and JJ Redick.
