Charles Barkley is a retired National Basketball Association player who is also a Hall of Famer and a legend known for his great skills near the rim. Now after retirement, Charles Barkley has stepped into the entertainment side of the NBA as he now is a successful NBA analyst for NBA on TNT (Turner Network Television). He is a great player critic and the most honest person to say it without thinking twice as he picks many hot takes against NBA players every now and then.
Charles’ most recent take has been on MVP rankings as he gave away his opinion sitting alongside the crew of Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith. The top-3 stars to win the MVP award this year from Charles’ side were Joel Embiid, DeMar DeRozan and Giannis Antetokounmpo. He didn’t mention the Denver Nuggets’ big Nikola Jokic who’s been the most efficient player so far the season.
Shaquille O’Neal and Kenny Smith even got into an heated exchange as Kenny mentioned DeMar DeRozan being the best basketball player in the world. Unexpectedly Charles Barkley was on his board as he agreed and believed in his take for DeMar DeRozan which straight away disrespected the other stars as many fans criticize him for not giving the correct recognition to Giannis Antetokounmpo and Nikola Jokic.

Charles Barkley’s MVP favorites
Charles Barkley discussing the MVP rankings and his top-3 stars quoted: “Giannis is at third for me because Embiid and DeRozan they are doing more with less. Yeah, I put him third not in the last. You gave me three choices. Embiid has been the best player in the NBA this season, DeMar DeRozan has been the second-best, and Giannis has been right there.”
Charles has Giannis ranked below DeMar DeRozan and Joel Embiid while he totally forgets the actual front-runner Nikola Jokic in his list. Fans and many players around the league didn’t really like the rankings from his side but maybe he is very right with the list. As talking about Joel he really has been dominating the league and recently even won against the Giannis Antetokounmpo led Milwaukee Bucks. The list is also not that unexpected since it’s by Sir Charles an honest analyst who says what he believes in and wants to.
