Julius Randle and New York Knicks seemed to be a match made in heaven during the entire 2020-21 season. After leading the charge to break the playoff jinx for the Madison Square Garden team, it seemed like the next season will feature Randle becoming into a much-more valuable player for Tom Thibodeau’s team. Now, as things stands, the tables have turned around for both the parties.
To add to the misery of this demeaning relationship, Julius Randle has been handed a fine of $25,000 for his NSFW comments on New York Knicks fans. To those who are not aware, he used remarks on two occasions for his own home fans. Firstly, when he wanted to hear no Knicks fan having an opinion about his game. Later when, he showed a thumbs down to the home fans during Celtics win.

Julius Randle fined for NSFW comments to Knicks fans
The New York Knicks got off to a great start in the 2021-22 season, but as things started to heat up, Julius Randle became one of the former players which fell on the wrong side with the fans whilst the team’s inconsistent run. Furthermore, Randle has been heavily criticised for the downfall of New York Knicks, and as some would suggest, he has deserved some of it.
With Randle winning the Most Improved Player last season, he was also named in the All NBA Second Team. But the 2021-22 season has been a disappointing affair for him. With Evan Fournier and Kemba Walker fetching all the positive limelight in the past, Randle hasn’t had much luck.
Now his thumbs down gesture to the Knicks fans only went onto spoil his relation with the fans to a worse extend. But after understanding the seriousness of the issue, Julius Randle issued an apology to the fans for the same. But with the NBA taking no matters lightly, he had to face the heat of his actions.
