Kentavious Caldwell Pope wasted no time in hugging and consoling his ex-teammate and ‘brother’ LeBron James, who reached yet another milestone in the 19th year of his career in the NBA. LeBron James is a name which is bound to be heard again and again no matter what the time or situation in the league be. Ranging from the GOAT debate against Michael Jordan to now breaking records and reaching milestones, James is always discussed in and around the league. The sheer impact that he has on his team and the way he has led them throughout this season is enough to tell the fans that he has still got it.
Even at the age of 37, when players are way ahead of their peak, James has been playing as dominantly as he did when he was younger, and is in fact averaging career high stats.

With 5 minutes remaining in the 2nd quarter, LeBron went driving for a layup which he scored, thus reaching the 2nd position in the grand table, surpassing another legend in Karl Malone and the entire arena roared in order to cheer for him. James was seen being emotional after reaching this brilliant milestone with wet eyes as Kentavious reached in for a hug displaying a heart-warming gesture, which was appreciated by James and the entire crowd.
In reaction to reaching this milestone, James said, “Obviously at some point I’ll be able to look back at this moment, but right now the feeling I have — I can’t separate it,” following which he said, “I will not allow myself to think about it. I’ve always just played the game the way I’ve been playing it over the years, and these things have just happened organically by just going out and playing the game the right way,” expressing his sadness in losing the match, due to which he wont be able to look at breaking this record in the happiest way possible.
The Wizards snapped their six-game losing streak as they handed yet another loss to the Los Angeles Lakers despite a valiant effort by James and Russell Westbrook.
