Kevin Durant slammed with $25,000 fine over fiery clapback at courtside fan
Adam Silver and Kevin Durant
Kevin Durant has been having a career-best season with the Brooklyn Nets, and is surely looking to get better around his team game after game. Even after the Nets registered worst-ever 11 games losing streak, it finally seems like a solid foundation is being built around KD and Kyrie Irving approaching the playoffs. With the Nets having to contest in the play-in tournament (as per latest conference standings), the league has gone onto fine Kevin Durant for his interaction with a courtside fan.
According to NBA Insider, Shams Charania, Kevin Durant has been fined $25,000 for a spicy interaction with a courtside fan during Brooklyn Nets’ recent matchup against the Dallas Mavericks.

Nets star Kevin Durant slapped with hefty fan by NBA
It is as if Kevin Durant knew he wasn’t going to get away with it. Before the announcement was even made (or at least made public), the Nets star already reacted with a tinge of regret and included a photo of a girl handing over some cash while looking away.
Safe to say, there’s a lot a regular citizen can do with $25,000 but for a man with well over nine-figures in his bank account and hundreds of millions more left to earn in his lifetime, the penalty is basically pocket change for Kevin Durant. He has never been one to shy away from a fan interaction, even though this one seemed to be pulling for the Nets. Kevin Durant is one of the most active NBA stars on Twitter and regularly responds to messages directed towards him, slander or otherwise.
That being said, the Brooklyn Nets are coming on the backs of a fiery win against the Portland Trail Blazers, wherein they overcame an 18-point deficit, courtesy to a game-high performance by Kevin Durant – scoring 38 points, 6 rebounds and assists.
Lastly, the Nets are couple of wins behind Toronto Raptors to secure the 7th spot in the Eastern Conference and .050 win ratio shy of catching Cleveland Cavaliers. Where will Steve Nash’s team after the regular season? Remains to be seen.
