Kings star De’Aaron Fox blames ‘strong motherfu***r’ Giannis Antetokounmpo for season-ending injury
De'Aaron Fox and Giannis Antetokounmpo
There is surely no denying that Milwaukee Bucks superstar Giannis Antetokounmpo is one of the strongest, most impactful superstars in modern-day NBA. The two-time MVP has also paved his way to be established as one of the most muscular scorers in the league. However, Sacramento Kings star De-Aaron Fox had to learn it the wrong way, when it costed him the last 11 games of the 2021-22 season.
On March 16, wen Milwaukee Bucks locked horns against the Sacramento Kings, De’Aaron Fox did not have the kindest of interactions with Giannis Antetokounmpo as he detailed upon his hand injury in a recent interview. To surprise many, Fox regarded the Greek Freak as a ‘strong motherfu***r’.
De’Aaron Fox talks about his hand injury
“I thought I hit his knee, but I actually got my hand on the ball,” said the Kings star, De’Aaron Fox via Eric He of NBC Sports. “The ball went straight through my hand. It just stretched out ligaments and it was fat. I literally couldn’t see the bones and everything on my hand.”
“The next day, I was like, ‘I didn’t even know how I finished that game.’”
That’s tough. And for Giannis Antetokounmpo, this is a clear testament to how freakishly strong his man truly is. Surely, this raw strength and power is something that the Bucks marquee would want to establish and terrorize his opposition with, if he wants to once again lead his team to the NBA Finals.
“Before that, I couldn’t dribble the ball at all,” Fox said. “I could’ve been a spot-up shooter. That’s probably all I could’ve done. But I would say I’m feeling much better now and obviously going through rehab and stuff and trying to get back on the court as soon as possible.”
Gladly De’Aaron Fox is doing just fine and will be looking to make his way back stronger in the next season. On the other hand, Giannis would be looking to repeat the epic run from last season as his team locks horn against the Chicago Bulls in the first-round of the playoffs.
