Lakers News : Anthony Davis takes a shot at NBA for suspending LeBron James after elbowing Isaiah Stewart

During the Lakers vs Pistons matchup, Pistons player Isaiah Stewart received an elbow shot to the head causing heavy bleeding near the right eye. This took place during an attempt to grab a rebound following foul shots taken by Jerami Grant. LeBron had accidently elbowed Stewart as he tried to move away to get back to the other side of the court.
After the incident, LeBron repeatedly tried to apologize to Stewart but it did not seem to be acknowledged. Stewart had tried to attack LeBron multiple times after the whistle was blown which had both benches cleared just to mitigate the brawl.
Anthony Davis reacts to his teammate’s suspension

Davis further went on the say players usually get hit on the face on the regular and a suspension for what conspired was unnecessary.
Davis had also said that LeBron’s “reckless” action was not worth a suspension as one cannot predicted to other’s reaction, referring to Stewart’s bench clearing reaction as a possible reason for his teammate’s unnecessary suspension. His remarks are valid and he is not wrong is not wrong in showing his support to his teammate.
Coach Vogel speaks against the league’s decision

“(LeBron) had an elbow to the rib cage, which was a foul and (Stewart) was trying to shed the contact. Had incidental contact that was obviously enough for a flagrant-2.” Said head Coach Frank Vogel. He attributed LeBron for being one the classiest players in the league who never reacts or plays rough in such a situation. Following these remarks, it is true that the King has never indulged in any sort of violent reactions. Prior to this event, LeBron had never been suspended in his entire career.
Many players came forward in support of the King’s actions saying that he has never been a dirty player in his entire career. “It’s a little surprising, Obviously, we’ve seen the video and kind of what happened. They made their decision.” said teammate Russell Westbrook, who was seemingly rational about the incident. LeBron is expected to return for their following game against the Indiana Pacers.
