Former NBA player, Lazar Hayward, was arrested by the Hawaiian authorities for falsifying COVID documents and uploading them online into the travel portal. According to the Hawaiian state laws, the travelers are to submit either a negative test result or their vaccination card but Lazar, an ex-NBA player who played for Minnesota Timberwolves Oklahoma City Thunder, and the Houston Rockets., was caught along with the other traveler from LA and is currently being charged under falsification of COVID documents.
To those who are unaware Lazar Hayward was a former teammate of Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook in the Oklahoma City Thunder. He was famously known for his contribution for OKC during their impressive run in the playoffs.

As per the reports given by the Kauai Police, Hayward falsified the document in order to avoid the mandatory Quarantine time. He, along with one more passenger flew directly from Los Angeles to Lihue but was caught when the police whiffed something suspicious. Both the travelers were sent back to Los Angeles from Lihue Airport. They have been charged but no court date has been set yet, the Hawaiian authorities told the media.
Even though the vaccines are free, people are challenging the authorities by either not carrying their vaccination cards, rejecting vaccines, or fraudulent test documents. Since the beginning of the pandemic, Hawaii has reported a total number of 80 thousand cases and almost Six thousand fatalities because of the corona. They are requesting the travelers to be conscious of their surroundings and follow the protocols.
