“396 and counting” – Lebron James breaks Kobe Bryant’s record for scoring most points on Christmas day games
Kobe Bryant was one of the most legendary players NBA ever had. He was often referred as the king of Christmas Day Games since he had the most points scored in Christmas in the league’s history. However, his record has been broken by none another than LeBron James in the match against Brooklynn Nets.
Records which Kobe Bryant still holds up to this very day
The Black Mamba still holds a lot of records in the league’s history such as being the youngest player to ever participate in the NBA All-star Game, his age was just 19 at that time. He has also been the oldest player to ever score 60 points in a game at the age of 37 and even most points scored in a single game 80.
Bryant had the record for most points scored in Christmas day games. He had scored a total of 395 points in his entire career and only 3 more players in the league have been able to cross the mark of 300 which itself is in a form of achievement.
Twitter goes crazy after LeBron James breaks Bryant’s record
In his 16th Christmas appearance against Brooklynn Nets the King has broken Black Mamba’s record and currently stands at a total of 396 points and it’s still counting. James has an average of about 25.5 points per game and a shooting of about 48.4% during the games played of Christmas day.
People took to internet to appreciate the king and congratulate him for breaking this record. Los Angeles Lakers on their twitter account tweeted about LeBron’s record breaking achievement.
