The name of LeBron James has a different meaning that rings in our ears when compared to the others in the field of sports. Especially in the game of Basketball, he has one of the best resumes that has him standing above the rest. Ever since the jump, LeBron has only been moving upwards into being the greatest of all time.
The Los Angeles Lakers forward has been extremely dominant since the beginning and many players still feel that he is one of the toughest players to guard in the league to date. His legacy has won laurels for the sport but despite him taking over the game of basketball, there are a few other athletes whose worth to their field stretches past the imaginable.
Floyd Mayweather says LeBron James’ career has come to its end
We all know Floyd Mayweather as one of the most revered boxers of all time. Just like his fellow sport great LeBron James, he has been at the top of his game ever since the start of his career going on a very rare and elusive for some 50-0 record throughout his career.
The boxing legend has not been active in the professional scene for a while now but has been fighting exhibition matches with various other budding individuals outside of the professional environment. Floyd Mayweather, also known as ‘Money’ Mayweather built today’s boxing events for how it is. He bought the fame to sport and the money that entails for its fighters after their bouts.
According to him, “It’s just too many athletes that I take my hat off to that work so hard that I love. And I’m talking about football, basketball, boxing, baseball, it’s just so many sports. You got to realize I have been fighting since Michael Jordan was playing basketball. I was getting it. I was undefeated from there till now. And LeBron James’ career is almost over and I’m still getting it.”

The master of defense in boxing has all the facts set right to back his claims up. Being 45-years old, he still fights athletes less than half his age and still manages to knock their lights out. Mayweather has been around since the Michael Jordan era which is a remarkable career of 20 years and more.
LeBron James has been averaging numbers better than his first few seasons in the league. But did Mayweather forget that basketball is a team sport? With it being a team sport, it obviously means that James is limited to the number of games he wins therefore stripping him of being undefeated. So has Mayweather’s word been fair towards LeBron? Were Mayweather’s comments biased considering that each sport varies in difficulty and is difficult in its own aspects?
