LeBron James, the sole hope of the Los Angeles Lakers isn’t going to do the tasks of the team all alone, even though he has been doing that throughout the season, it seems as if the frustration is getting to his head, and it shows in the things that are going down on court. The same happened in the Lakers’ game against the New Orleans Pelicans, which saw the former lose the match by a close 3-point margin, in a high stakes encounter.

The Lakers who were already ruled out of the play in tournament and were ranked 12th shifted up to the 10th rank after the San Antonio Spurs’ loss, but losing to the Pelicans again doesn’t seem to be doing any good.

The Los Angeles Lakers suffered yet another loss, this time to the New Orleans Pelicans, led by CJ McCollum, even though the sole player came face to face with the Big 3 of the Lakers in their return. LeBron James and Russell Westbrook were joined by Anthony Davis on his return to the squad after a short layoff due to his ankle injury, but the presence of these superstars didn’t really make a lot of difference as the Lakers were back to their old ways of losing games despite being in a dire need of getting wins.

After facing continuous losses, the players from the Lakers seem to be losing confidence in the team and themselves as the effort seems to be going downhill and the team now needs nothing less than a miracle in order to keep their title contention hopes alive.

In the Lakers’ game against the Pelicans, both of the teams had a continuous back and forth on the score sheet and the gap was never really high, therefore, there came a time at the end of the match when LeBron James lost his cool as Stanley Johnson failed to do the very basic thing, foul his rival. Let us take a closer look at James losing his cool in this sequence which supposedly cost Lakers the game.

The Lakers lost, again, and this time they lost a close margin loss to the New Orleans Pelicans, who now stand at the 9th position in the Western Conference. Continuous losses one after the other are bound to cause frustration among the players, even the ones who have the strongest minds, which have endured losses and disrespect for decades! Such was the case with LeBron James who was frustrated with the lack of defensive skill shown by Stanley Johnson, causing Lakers the game against the Pelicans. His frustration was seen by the entire world in the end moments of the match as Johnson messed up.

With 15.8 seconds left in the 4th quarter of the game, the Lakers were down by 1-point as the scoresheet read 112-111, Stanley Johnson came face to face with Trey Murphy III as the latter tried to move the ball around in order to pass it one of his teammates who were ready to score. Johnson at that point in time had the opportunity to foul Murphy, which he didn’t do, and that was something that pissed LeBron off. After this sequence, James was seen lecturing Johnson, asking him to “foul” the rival player.

Let us now take a closer look at the game between the Lakers and the Pelicans.

The Los Angeles Lakers have now worsened their record to a terrible number of 31 wins and 46 losses, adding to which they have lost 8 of their last 10 matches, and are on a 5-match losing streak. With nothing going their way, the Lakers don’t seem to be doing anything about it as the players are losing hope and are putting in half hearted efforts in the games.
