The Los Angeles Lakers have taken a 2-1 lead over the Golden State Warriors following a Game 3 victory. The Warriors had managed to save their home game, as they took Game 2, though the Lakers answered back with a blowout win, 127-97. Los Angeles, who came out of the Play-In tournament has proven itself as a title contender in this postseason.

Anthony Davis led the way for the Lakers, putting up 25 points and 13 rebounds. King James on the other hand scored 21 points and dished out eight assists. The team didn’t have any spots left in this game as each player contributed on both ends of the floor. Though LeBron James, the man in front, put it all out on the floor to prevail in this pivotal game.

James hustled throughout the game, but not as much on the defensive floor. LeBron had zero turnovers for the game and did not commit any personal fouls. Going into the second half, the Lakers outscored the Warriors for the rest of the game. During the third quarter, one of LeBron’s hustle plays caught everyone’s eye, including Dennis Schroder. “Making hustle plays like that. Putting everything on the line. Seeing him after the game really don’t have no energy no more… I think everybody in here knows we gotta do the same thing what Bron does.”, said Schroder, appreciating James’ efforts.

James chased Andrew Wiggins in transition to deflect the pass from Curry, and he ended up in the stands. It’s not so common to see such efforts from a veteran of his age. This goes out to show how much work the Lakers have had to put in to get in the postseason, and now outperforming the defending champs. James’ hustle had the crowd on their feet, getting the respect he deserves.

He’s been shooting around 23% from the outside, though still, his efforts are visible on the floor.

With the Lakers now leading the series, they’ll have an advantage over the Warriors, as they’ll look to extend the lead to 3-1. If the Lakers manage to do so, James’ squad will have a possible rematch against the Denver Nuggets in the Conference Finals.
