After the much-awaited sport of tennis returned back to action since August, Rafael Nadal has been on a roll. First by winning the French Open and equalling the Grand Slam Tally with Roger Federer. And now the Spaniard has won his 1000th match, against Feliciano Lopez in the 2nd round of the Paris Masters. Nadal did so in exquisite fashion by bouncing back in the match as he lost the first set 4-6.

Nadal was wished by a host of sports icons which also included his countrymen and NBA Legend Pau Gasol. The former became only the 4th player in the history of the sport to reach to that milestone. In the French Capital, the Spaniard is chasing the incredible Masters record. This is currently being held by Novak Djokovic who took the lead by winning the Italian Open.

Another massive achievement lies in store for Rafa at the last of 2020 – the ATP Finals. If he wins the event, the Spaniard will complete the Career ‘Super Slam’ (Career Golden Slam + ATP Finals). The only player to do so, is Andre Agassi.

Nadal would be looking to capitalise the most in this year as Federer is out. Also, Novak Djokovic is not a part of the Paris Masters, who was leading the race after winning the Italian Open. Having said that an in form Rafa is hard to stop for anyone. He has however struggled a lot with injuries in the recent years. But to be back in such a shape and form, Nadal is looking unstoppable.
