While being referred as the “Young Goat”, the Dallas Mavericks’ star player, their Shooting Guard Luka Doncic has inscribed his name in yet another record list, while already being in many others.
This time, Luka entered surpassed many legends on one list, and entered the all time Top-10 on another list, reiterating why he is rated the way he is, also making him a potential contender for the goat status alongside names like LeBron James and Stephen Curry from this generation of elite basketball players.

In their match against the Philadelphia 76ers which the Mavericks won by a 9-point margin, Doncic lead the way for his team with a meritorious performance, also creating multiple records in the match, while on their way to defeat the 76ers.

In their match against the 76ers, Dallas Mavericks’ Luka Doncic lead the way for his team to achieve victory, while also inscribing his name in a few record books through his performance in the match.
Doncic added his name to the All-Time Top-10 Triple-Double Leaders’ list after his performance against the 76ers, in which Luka scored 33 points, 13 rebounds and 15 assists taking his triple-double number to a  total of 44, which now places him on the 10th position in all time leaders in triple-doubles, right behind Larry Bird, James Harden many more legends who took many more games than Luka’s just 237 and that too even before Luka turns 23.

Luka also reached the 2nd position in the list of players with most 30+ points, 10+ rebounds and 15+ assists matches in the history of the NBA, having had 8 such matches, after his performance against the 76ers which pushed him forward to the 2nd position in the list, right behind Oscar Robertson’s 22.

Luka Doncic’s Dallas Mavericks defeated Joel Embiid’s Philadelphia 76ers by a 9-point margin after a match which saw a masterful performance by Luka Doncic and a good performance by Embiid which unfortunately wasn’t enough for them to get the victory from the Mavericks.

Doncic led the way for the Mavericks with 33 points, 13 rebounds and 15 assists in the 40 minutes that he played, followed by Reggie Bullock who scored 20 points and Jalen Brunson who scored 19 points.

Embiid led the way for the 76ers with 27 points, 13 rebounds and 4 assists, followed by Tyrese Maxey who scored 18 points and Tobais Harrs and Georges Niang who scored 13 points each.

Even though the Mavericks were trailing in the first half of the match, the Mavericks took over the second half, outscoring Philadelphia by 54-35 after employing their defense zone, also thanks to the Luka phenomenon. Even the players and the coach had things to say in reaction to the Mavericks taking over like this.

Luka’s All-Star level performance all season

Mavericks’ Coach Jason Kidd said “To stay with it and to understand that the game wasn’t won or lost in the first couple of minutes coming back just shows a lot of character for that group in there” which was also testified to some extent by the opposition’s player Joel Embiid who said, “We should have really blown them out, we gave them life.”

Even though this defeat doesn’t affect the 76ers much as they’re still in a much better condition in comparison to their counterparts, the 76ers will still need to look back and learn from this defeat, in order to not mess up in the future.

Doncic in contrast to everyone else in match has constantly performed for the team, keeping up his All-Star standards throughout the season, helping his team be at the 5th position in the Western Conference, and in a much better condition even in comparison to teams full of big names which haven’t performed up to the mark.
