Marcus Morris is leading the Clippers after their star players Kawhi Leonard and Paul George are not able to participate due to their serious injuries. Under him, the Clippers were able to defeat the two most star-studded teams the Lakers and Sixers where he played a critical role to ensure the victory for the team.
On Thursday night the Clippers were against the Lakers, and the battle between these two LA franchises was really hard-fought, the game was decided in the final moments where Reggie Jackson drives the layup with four seconds remaining and finished the game with 111-110.

Marcus Morris Sr. and Reggie Jackson were the heroes of the game for the Clippers as they scored 29 and 25 points respectively, while Serge Ibaka scored 20 points to maintain the lead for the team. In the post-game interview when Morris was asked about the Clippers’ win over the Lakers and Sixers, here’s what he replied.
“I mean s**t, both of them teams is pretty average from what I’ve seen. I don’t see either team being great teams. Any given night, it’s the NBA. We’re all NBA players. We can all put together something and come back. We go out there, and we work hard, right from the coaching staff to the 15 guys,” said Morris.
Moreover, he was highly effective against the Lakers since he made six 3-pointers, including one from the left corner that gave the Clippers a 109-108 advantage with 18 seconds remaining.

Coach Tyronn Lue praise the Clippers team effort and Lakers coach Frank Vogel game strategy
The Clippers coach Tyronn Lue was impressed by the team’s performance and he even praised the Lakers coach for his tough strategy implication in the game. He said, “I thought it was a good chess match back and forth. Coach (Frank) Vogel did a good job trying to keep me off balance.”
The Clippers have now won two of their last three games and have improved their record of 27-27. Meanwhile, this victory has also placed them in the eighth seed of the western conference and even raised the hopes of the Clippers fans that they might qualify for the playoffs.
