“Merry Christmas, New York!”-Twitter Reacts to Obi Toppin’s between the leg Slam Dunk to wrap up Knicks Victory

Obi Toppin finished the match in style when he dropped a stunning between-the -leg Slam Dunk to seal of New York Knicks’ victory against the Atlanta Hawks.

The NBA Christmas day games schedule initiated with the Knicks hosting the Hawks at the Madison Square Garden. NBA has retained its tradition of hosting annual Christmas games with the best teams in the league as opponents. It is quite an honor for the players to play on this day.

The Knicks seems to have finally avenged them after they faced an embarrassing defeat against the Hawks last season which crushed their dreams of reaching the finals. The Hawks defeated them by 4-1 in a series of 5 matches, and all thanks to Trae Young. Young blasted the Knicks off in cold blood and since then it is quite clear why the New Yorkers hate him so much now.

The New York Knicks hosted the Hawks at their home ground, the Madison Square Garden. What nicer way of starting one’s Christmas is there than competing against your arch-rivals?

The Hawks without their key player Trae Young went on to face the Knicks and things just went total downhill for them. A place that saw their majestic win last season has now become their pit of defeat.

The Knicks left no stones unturned to destroy the Hawks. They registered a blast-off victory of 101-87. This win was needed after their loss to Washington Wizards in their previous by a very small margin. With a score of15-18, the Knicks would face the Minnesota Timberwolves on 28th December.

But Obi gave the Knicks the Christmas present. With a minute left on the clock, Knicks Obi Toppin goes for a dunk and not just a dunk but a between-the-leg-slam-Dunk that clearly makes him a potential candidate for the title of NBA’s Slam Dunk Contest Winner.

This dunk got the whole Madison Square Garden up on their feet in mad happiness. And, Twitter loves it.
