“Michael Jordan is here, LeBron James is reaching up there” Magic Johnson suggests no-harm-done to LeBron James’ legacy after disastrous 2021-22 season

Magic Johnson recently appearing on Get Up ESPN added some points for LeBron James in the G.O.A.T debate against Michael Jordan. Even though the Los Angeles Lakers under his leadership aren’t having a great season Magic Johnson still gave him his flowers. Since he is hard-carrying the Los Angeles Lakers throughout the season while stepping up with MVP calibre performances on daily basis. He is leading the lead in scoring while averaging 30.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 6.2 assists per game. LeBron James individually has been the best on the squad the only problem has been the sleeping supporting cast.

Currently, the Los Angeles Lakers under the leadership of LeBron James are ranked as the eleventh seed in the western conference of the league with the record of 32 wins and 47 losses at .397. The team is maintaining a losing streak of six very important games and as of now is out of the picture to even make it to the post-season as they don’t even fit in the play-in tournament as of now. LeBron James is also leading the league in scoring and has a real shot at walking away with the scoring title this season.

The host at Get Up ESPN questioning the legacy of LeBron James to Magic Johnson after the disastrous season quoted: “Next year at some point he will pass Kareem Abdul Jabbar at some point. Your long-time teammate and dear friend as the All-Time leading scorer in NBA history. He’s sitting on four championships right now and we’ll see where it goes. He is still one of the best players in the league at the age of thirty-seven which hasn’t happened many times in history. What does all of this means for his legacy… You are one of the few people who know what’s that like you were competing with G.O.A.Ts with history what does all it means.”

Magic Johnson on LeBron James’ legacy

Magic Johnson responding to the host’s question about LeBron James’ legacy quoted: “The legacy is set in stone. I just hope that he gets another championship. I hope that he can compete. What he is going to do. Look at what we’re talking about. He’s going to be the all-time leading scorer, he’s going to be one of the top assist men of all time. I think combined points playoffs and regular season he is number one. I mean this guy… so now here we come right. Michael Jordan is here he is inching up there but his story is still being written so we have to see what happens. But LeBron means so much not just to Basketball he means more to the world. Because this man has done so much his brand is so strong. So I love him and I am happy that I recruited him to the Lakers. I am happy that he’s been a stand-up guy and… He’s a champion not only on the court but off the court.”

Magic Johnson is one of few names around who did justice with LeBron James while talking about his greats, legacy, and the G.O.A.T debate. Nothing said by one of the greatest point guards to ever live was wrong as LeBron James is really right there up near Michael Jordan. Many would disagree with it and many would respect it but as far we know LeBron James is least interested in the answers. His only aim is to win championships and play alongside his kid Bronny James.
