Nikola Jokic reveals details about losing his wedding ring multiple times
Denver Nuggets superstar and three-time MVP, Nikola Jokic, is a family man through and through. During the 2023 NBA Finals, Jokic touched fans with a heartfelt gesture: he tied his wedding ring to his shoelaces during games since NBA rules prohibit players from wearing jewelry. However, the Serbian superstar recently made a surprising admission about his treasured keepsake.
On Monday, Nikola Jokic hosted the launch of his brand-new signature sneaker, the JOKER 1 by Chinese sportswear brand 361 Degrees, at the Ball Arena in Denver. Jokic was asked about the symbolic design of the shoe, which features a pocket in the tongue for storing rings. To everyone’s surprise, he revealed the reason his wedding ring was absent from the latest design of the sneaker.
Funny story. I lost my ring, and my wife gave me another ring. And I lost that too.

Nikola Jokic’s decision to incorporate a ring pocket into the JOKER 1 sneaker was inspired by his aforementioned habit of tying his wedding ring to his laces during games. Jokic first priority remains his family, which recently added a new member.
Sports Illustrated reports that the shoe will debut on December 7 in Serbia, followed by launches in Chengdu, China, on December 14, and Hangzhou, China, on December 21. By late December, it will be available globally in all 361 Degrees stores.
Nikola Jokic gears up to face struggling Warriors
The Denver Nuggets are preparing for a marquee matchup against the Golden State Warriors in the final stage of NBA Cup group play. Nikola Jokic has been in stellar form, averaging a near triple-double with 29.6 points, 13.2 rebounds, and 10.7 assists per game. He currently leads the MVP race so far this season, although some have raised questions about his leadership skills.
Meanwhile, the Warriors have struggled recently, dropping four consecutive games after a dominant start to the season. Despite their 12-7 record, injuries and inconsistent play have hindered their performance. Notably, Draymond Green is listed as doubtful for the upcoming game due to calf tightness, further complicating the Warriors’ defensive schemes against Nikola Jokic.
Stephen Curry, averaging 22.5 points so far this season, will be Golden State’s key offensive weapon, as the team takes on the Juggernaut offense of the Nuggets. Historically, Jokic and Curry’s head-to-head battles have been closely contested, with Curry holding a slight edge in wins. The Warriors have dominated the playoff matchups, but Jokic has proved formidable in the regular season.
