With James Harden been given a rest against the Detroit Pistons, the result could have been very disappointing for the Brooklyn Nets if it wasn’t for Kevin Durant taking matter in his own hand. Scoring his season best 51-points, KD was only 4 points short of registering his career best score as he haunted the Detroit Pistons at their home, leaving everyone is awe of his hard-fought effort. 

Even though the Steve Nash’s Nets have been struggling in the middle sectors of every game, yet Kevin Durant mas been able to lead the way game after game despite Kyrie Irving’s absence. Moreover, the former is replicating his leadership attributes, better in every passing game. Having said that, when KD was asked upon being aware that he has scored more than 50 points, the 33-years-old marquee had a two-word blunt response for the same.

Durant is without a doubt one of the best scorers this game has ever seen and he was absolutely on fire on Sunday night. The Detroit Pistons had no answer for the 11-time All-Star as KD finished with 51 points on 16-of-31 shooting.  

He went 14-of-15 from the line and 5-of-10 from distance to go along with his seven rebounds, nine assists, one steal, and two blocks. It goes without saying that whenever Kevin Durant gets it going like this, the Nets are virtually impossible to beat.

Now after registering back-to-back wins against Atlanta Hawks and Detroit Pistons, the Brooklyn Nets are now going to lock horns against the Toronto Raptors in their next encounter. Will Durant be able to register his best ever score then? Only time will tell.
